Rutter Post mount rebuilt

Planning on reinforcing some noticeably weak glass (lower part of first pic shows the weakness with milky glass and pin holes.) Aa\ light grind, tore right through the glass and into rotten wood. As quickly as that reinforcing turned to rebuilding. Replicating the original wood, it was replaced with 3/4 Okume light wieght marine plywood coated in vinylester resin bedded on putty, hit with heat gun,. Glassed with two layers of 24oxz roving and 1708 biaxle. Than re bored the holes for ruder post and screws, of course precisely less than precise. ground the old bronze from gray to shiny, shimmed the shoe* to fit in places it didn't want to, lots of goop and.. Secure

*(post sandblasting and 3 epoxy coats, now rust looks white)

An unexpected structural mod.
